This policy explains what personal data Optimagus collects when you use https://optimagus.com and an Optimagus product, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the private individual who runs Optimagus, named with their address in our legal notice. Contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
Payments are handled by Polar. When you buy, Polar Software, Inc. is the seller and processes your payment, billing address and tax details as an independent controller under its own privacy notice. We never see your full card details. Polar shares with us what we need to deliver the product: your email address, name, country, what you bought and the order status.

We don't sell your data, don't use it for advertising, and don't make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who else handles your data
We use these providers to run the service. Each processes data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.

We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We only store what is strictly needed for the site to work. That doesn't need your consent (ekomloven § 2-7b).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send it to you in a machine-readable format
If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected]; we reply within one month. We'll only ask for what we need to confirm it's you.
You can also complain to Datatilsynet, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
An Optimagus product is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, if you're a customer, tell you by email before the change takes effect.
